                              Fifeshire Team Building Day Out

On Monday the 11th March 2013, Fifeshire house had a team building day out at Isel Park in Stoke.
We had to walk to the park and along the way we said a few hellos to the kind elderly folks.
Some of us got a little soaked as we made our way into the park by the sprinklers watering the plants and trees. We were lucky enough to have some parent helpers for the trip leading the activities that we had planned for the day. There were five activities which included three legged races, the un-tangle, spiderweb, blindfolded trust walk and last but not least cone run.

Here are some photos and a little bit about each activity

                                                       The Three Legged Race
The three legged race consists of you getting a buddy and connecting one of your legs with theirs. Once you've done that you find an opponent to race against and you have to try to work co-operatively with your partner to hopefully win the race! If you're the first team to finish you get a gold medal, which is actually a yellow cone! But we didn't mind getting a cone. We all really enjoyed the three legged racing, here is a pic of two students racing!

This is Bailey and Leticia from room 7

                     The Un-Tangle
For the un-tangle we got put into one of two groups of six. The aim of
this challenge is to get yourself un-twisted and in a circle. This was great fun and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

                             Spiderweb

For this challenging game, you have to work together really well to beat the other teams time. You have to try get all your team mates through the web to get to the other side, but you can't go through the same hole on the web more than once.

                                                Blindfold Trust Walk

For the blindfold trust walk, you choose a partner and put a blindfold on them. There's a track that you have to lead them round, by only using directions, but you can't touch your partner. There were some partners that were a bit cheeky and got their partner a little wet by the sprinklers, but it's sort of good to get wet on hot day.

Cone Run
Cone run, is a game where you get REALLY dizzy! You have to put one of your hands on the top of the cone and then put your head on your hand and spin round and round the cone. Once you've done as many as you're supposed to of them you have to run around the tree and hi five the next person in the line to repeat what you've just done... unless you've just fallen over, you don't want your other team mates to do this!

Once we'd completed all activities for the day we had a team photo with all the students in Fifeshire. When Mrs Binnie was taking the photo we all said Fifeshire Rocks!!! Here's the awesome photo of Fifeshire.

We hope you have enjoyed Room 8's first post for 2013
