Mrs Binnie announced we were having a Careers Expo day on the 10th of December. She gave a Dream and Discover booklet. We started to come up with ideas for our careers choice. I chose Zoologist and Cheyenne chose Veterinarian. We also got another Big Idea booklet to write down our information, questions and bibliography. We got to go to the Library and have the computers to find out more information about our career. On the computers most of us went on www.career.govt.nz to get most of the information we needed. Then we started choosing partners with a similar career to partner up with for our careers board. 
After our partnering was finished we started covering our board with paper and cutting out our headings. Then we typed up our information on the computers and found pictures we wanted for our boards. Once Mrs Binnie had checked our work she printed it for us to collect and stick on our boards.
Hayden And Braden For us the most exciting part was that we got to dress up like our career and bring along props to suit our Career choice. After a lot of preparation and organizing we were finally ready for the next step. 
Sticking, gluing, mistakes and then relief when we were finished. The day had finally come for the CareersExpo!
We walked in with our heads high and feeling confident. Mrs Binnie chose spots for us to set up our boards and get everything organized for the afternoon. Georgia and Emily
It was really exciting and had a buzz in the air, there was colors everywhere, people dressed up, adults and children all in one hall! Lots of people from around the community came to see all our hard work and were really impressed. They asked us all sort of questions such as 'Why did you choose this career?''How do you get into this career?' and 'What are the qualifications you need for this career? 'In the end it was time to go home, but we all had so much fun preparing for our future and learning about all different types of career choices. We hope the Community and Kindergarten had fun and learnt some things they didn't know before.
