On Thursday 27/9/12 our class went for a little visit to the movies.
Firstly we walked to the bus stop, then caught the bus and we went to the State Cinema. We bought tickets and food then headed to the Theatre to watch Kiwi Flyer. The main reason that we went to the movies is because Matt French has a big part in the movie Kiwi Flyer. His name in the movie is 'Stewie'. The movie Kiwi Flyer is about a boy named Ben who wanted to follow in his father's foot steps. But sadly while Ben's father was building a trolley for Ben, that night he died. R.I.P.
A couple of months later Ben asked his Mother if he could be in the race but she said no. He did it anyway with his mate named Tiki.
When he finally finished his first Derby trolley he named it Kiwi Flyer. He timed it and it went slowly the first time.
Then suddenly out of nowhere here came the Aussie's shooting down the road. They knew they would have to beat them, so they bought some racing wheels and they timed it a second time and boom! Done.
Then their day came. They raced just as a practise and shooting out of nowhere the Aussie's came and knocked them over. Their trolley smashed, they were heart broken. Ben's Mother found out that the Aussie's had called Ben's dad a loser and she saw how upset Ben was.She helped him build another cart for the race with the left over pieces from Ben's Dads one.
Then their day came, it was hard but they got through. At the end of the day Ben won and everything was OK.
When the movie finished we headed to the arcade room for a bit. Then we headed back to school on the bus, what a fun day.
